The worst mistake I could’ve made this weekend was to go to Canal Walk, on a Saturday and on the first day of the month … Utter consumerist-suicide!
But I was on a mission to find the perfect birthday-gift-fairy for my friend Anthea. So off I went in search of a fairy … *giggle*
So, I found the perfect gift for my fairy-fundi-friend Anthea at the Cape Arts & Crafts store, which sells everything you can think of from scarp book bits and bobs to home decor to bongs to rugby paraphernalia to even Emo-wear covered in skulls in florescent colours. A true gem of a store simply based on the fact that you can find everything and anything you never thought you needed, wanted or even liked under one roof!
Now besides finding the fairy, I also found a Crumbles Double Choc-Chip Cookie the size of a side plate … I kid you not.
The cashier ladies gave the cookie rave reviews – even going as far as to say that I’d be back for more … I was intrigued and after biting into the cookie – and devouring it in about 2 minutes flat – I’m very happy to report it was yummilicious and I’ll definitely go back for more.
I’ve had a look online for Crumbles but can’t find a website and/or listing for it so I’m presuming it’s a home industry set-up, which hasn’t gone big yet. Whatever the case may be, I’d recommend you pop into Cape Arts & Crafts and grab a cookie, or two, for yourself.
